Rumi died known but not infamously famous or appreciated for his work.   He recognized that some people were “moved” by his writing but at the time of his death, much of his work was still private.   Rumi’s tomb in Konya is now a holy place… people come to pay respects to the “great master of spirituality, the one who opened all doors to the heart“.   Some devout pilgrims have shown their rumigratitude by coming to Konya and bowing to his tomb 70,000 times… one for each of his incredible versus.

Can you imagine expressing that much appreciation?

Repetition is a powerful form of prayer and wisdom gathering.. a very powerful spiritual practice… I imagine the pure joy of being so grateful as to bow 70,000 times…………
