Rumi is described as “not a prophet but a man who has surely brought a scripture..” and when you read his work that seems profoundly true. Rumi believed that poetry and music and dance are a clear path to reaching God, especially the God in each of us.
“dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.”~ Rumi
“My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that, and I intend to end up there” ~ Rumi
